Britten Dances

Presented by DanceEast Britten Dances is a centenary celebration through dance of one of Suffolk’s greatest gifts to the world, the composer Benjamin Britten, taking place at the festival he founded and bringing together two of the world’s great dance companies.

This very special programme features new works inspired by Britten from choreographers Kim Brandstrup (music: Britten Variations on a theme of Frank Bridge), who creates a new work for The Royal Ballet, and Ashley Page (music: Britten Young Apollo & Purcell arr. Britten Chacony) and Cameron McMillan (music: Larry Goves new work after Britten’s Nocturnal), who create works for Royal Ballet Flanders.

Co-commissioned for the Britten centenary by DanceEast and Aldeburgh Music, The Royal Ballet, and Royal Ballet Flanders Britten Dances will be at Snape Maltings Concert Hall on Thursday 20th and Friday 21st June. To book tickets contact the Box Office on 01728687110.
