Ipswich Xmas Bin Collections

Don’t let the bin lorries pass you by! Waste collections over Christmas are different in Ipswich so please remember to put out your bins on the right day.

In the week running up to the big day, bins will be collected at least a day earlier – e.g. Monday 23rd December collections will take place on Saturday 21st December etc.

On Thursday 26th and Friday 27th December, collections will take place a daylater than normal.

binThere is no change to collections on Monday 30th and Tuesday 31st December but the “day later” rule resumes the next day for the New Year.

There are no collections on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day. Normal collections resume on 6th January. Please put your bin out by 6.30am.

You can place your real Christmas tree out for collection with your brown bin and recycle those empty sweet containers, wrapping paper and cards in your blue bin.

Ipswich Borough Council’s recycling team are also urging residents to remember to recycle old clothes and textiles in the textile bag, tie it up and place it in the top of their blue bin.
