The Access All Arts event will return to Ipswich Town Hall on Sunday 2nd February from 10am to 4pm and hopes to attract a record-breaking thousand visitors.
The Festival of the Beats will be taking over much of Access All Arts. This unique literary, art and music festival celebrates the Beat Generation and is holding events throughout Ipswich. This month-long festival includes a film event, live performances and exhibitions.
On Sunday 2nd February Festival of the Beats events include live performances in the Council Chamber, poetry writing workshops in the Pickwick Room and writer, researcher and former musician Matthew Levi Stevens discussing his encounters with William S Burroughs, a key figure of the Beat Generation. A Beats discussion panel will also be taking place in the Council Chamber and Gallery 3 will host a history of the Beats exhibition.

“I Make Fun Stuff” will also be returning with their indoor craft and vintage market in the Grand Hall. Entry is free and more than 30 stallholders will be selling their hand-crafted collections.
