Free Ice-Skating in Woodbridge

The people of Woodbridge and the surrounding area can ice skate for free on a synthetic ice rink which will be set up in Woodbridge on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th February.

The skating rink will be open between 10am and 4pm on both days and will be situated in the Hamblin Road car park (behind Barretts of Woodbridge). Skates are provided free of charge and there will be double bladed skates available for small children. Skaters will be able to enjoy half an hour of skating at a time – to ensure that waiting times are kept to a minimum – and there will be two first-aiders in situ at all times.

This initiative has been made possible through funding from County Councilor, Caroline Page with Woodbridge Town Council and Choose Woodbridge.

Chris Harrold, Chairman of Choose Woodbridge said, “We thought the people of Woodbridge might need a little help to get out of the post-Christmas holiday blues. Now families, couples and singles all have something to look forward to – something a little bit different. Whether people want to have a go or just watch the thrills and spills from the sideline, this skating rink should bring a bit of added sparkle to Woodbridge this February.”
