Calling all budding performers

Would you like to be part of a high-energy show at Ipswich’s New Wolsey Theatre?

If so then the New Wolsey would like to hear from you

Who are they looking for? – Twenty-four young locals (must be over 18) to create the chorus for the new production of THE GONDOLIERS by Gilbert & Sullivan, which will be performed at The New Wolsey, Ipswich in May.
It’s a very rare opportunity to appear with professional actors and singers on the stage of one of the most prestigious theatres.
NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED! – The directors are looking for people who are up for having a go at something different, and have lots of energy and an interest in performing on stage.  You don’t need to be able to read music or studying singing (though if you can it would be great).

Opera della Luna are well known for updating Gilbert and Sullivan shows, and this will be a fast and funny version with lots of opportunity for you to join in the singing and some dancing.

REHEARSALS – You will need to be able to attend rehearsals – dates tbc.
THE SHOW – will run from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th May (with a matinee on Saturday).

INTERESTED in finding out more ? – then SIGN UP for our FREE GROUP WORKSHOP with the company for a taster of what we have planned.   You won’t have to audition.

The workshop will be on SATURDAY 8th MARCH  from 2.30pm to 4.30pm at Gallery 3 at the Town Hall, Cornhill , Ipswich, Suffolk IP1 1DH.
