Laura coming back to Ipswich in autumn

As the Ipswich Regent prepares for this Friday’s classical performance by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, theatre bosses announced another spectacular … this time featuring Suffolk’s soprano sweetheart Laura Wright.

Laura, who went to Framlingham College and is now a worldwide star, thrilled Twickenham on Saturday, singing the National Anthem before England’s victory against Wales. She will now team up with the Royal Phil at the Regent on 15th October for an Opera Gala featuring a whole host of memorable overtures, arias and duets from all your favourite operas.

Highlights will include songs from Rigoletto, Marriage of Figaro, The Magic Flute, Carmen, Tosca – even Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera. Don’t miss out – tickets go on sale this Friday, 14th March.

Talking of Friday, there are still some tickets left for the Royal Phil’s thrilling “Beethoven Masterworks” concert, featuring pianist John Lill. On the menu is the Egmont Overture, Emperor piano concerto and the mighty Eroica symphony.

Tickets from www.ipswichregent.com, the Tourist Information Centre or by phoning 01473 433100.
