The annual Village Fete at Hemingstone this year is planned for Saturday 7th June from 11.30am until 4.30pm at Hemingstone Hut.
It will commemorate the Great War and will be opened by Taff Gillingham the local film and military historian.  It will include a WW1 Memorabilia display, a period photo shoot, maypole dancing, authentic food and drink, ice creams, traditional Fete games, live music of the period, glass, book and plant stalls. The event will conclude with a Grand Auction. All the stallholders will be in period dress, the union jacks will be flying and a good time will be had by all, as we commemorate the start of the 1st World War 100 years ago.
