Theatre in the Forest at Jimmy’s

This year Red Rose Chain is going to make Theatre in the Forest even bigger and better than ever before. To celebrate the event’s 15th anniversary the local theatre company bring a season of two fantastic shows to Jimmy’s Farm for the first time!

Shakespeare’s madcap adventure The Comedy Of Errors: After losing one of his twin sons in a shipwreck, unlucky Merchant Egeon is also put in prison for travelling to a rival city. But events take all sorts of twists and turns as more strangers arrive in town and a several cases of mistaken identity cause utter chaos!

Can Egeon convince the Duke to free him before he is sent to the gallows?

Will the twins be reunited? And how many people can share the same name without us all losing the plot?! Directed by Joanna Carrick, this hilarious comedy promises to give you a summer full of giggles.

Also for the first time Red Rose Chain are extending their season with a second show, Wuthering Heights! Joanna Carrick’s adaptation of Emily Bronte’s story of eternal love is perfect for those in the mood for some gothic romance. When a little orphan called Heathcliff is adopted by the Earnshaw family no one could imagine just how much love the boy could hold in his heart. Especially for his new sister and best friend Cathy. But as the two grow up and their lives take different paths Heathcliff is left heartbroken, angry and looking for revenge.

How far is he willing to go to prove his love is unmatchable?

As usual you can expect an evening full of wonder, music and laughter for the whole family in a beautiful setting under the summery starlit sky.

To enhance your experience this year, in addition to the pre-theatre meals available through Jimmy’s Farm and the option to bring your own picnic, Jimmy’s Farm will also be providing a Saturday Summer BBQ, which will sizzle away right next to the Theatre In The Forest site before each of the Saturday productions (vegetarian option will also be available).

Last year Red Rose Chain performed Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew and it went fantastically well selling over 10,000 tickets! Both shows are family friendly and totally accessible whether you’re two or 200! Book before Tuesday 8th July to receive 20% off your overall ticket price when you book for both The Comedy of Errors and Wuthering Heights!

Red Rose Chain looks forward to welcoming you to Theatre in the Forest 2014! To book tickets please call the Box Office on 01473 603388 or visit www.theatreintheforest.com
