Charity named Charity of the Year

Papworth Trust has been selected as the best in the business after being nominated as charity of the year by the Ipswich and Suffolk Small Business Association (ISSBA).

ISSBA members will now support Papworth Trust events and organise their own fundraising opportunities to help raise awareness of the Trust which works with 20,000 older and disabled people every year.

The Trust will also have an information stand at the Anglia Business Exhibition which is organised by ISSBA and supported by The Suffolk Chamber of Commerce. This flagship event, one of the largest business to business exhibitions in Suffolk is held at Trinity Park in May 2015 with raffle prizes donated by association members.

Papworth Trust Corporate Partnership Fundraiser Jo Revitt said the Trust was selected by the association’s committee as Charity of the Year and over the next 12 months she will be attending networking events to talk to members about the work of the Trust across the east of England and beyond.

She said: “We are delighted to have been selected as the ISSBA Charity of the Year and look forward to having the opportunity to tell members about the work of Papworth Trust across Suffolk.”

Sonia Shelcott from ISSBA, added: “ISSBA is all about supporting local businesses, therefore we always give careful consideration to a charity that is not only local but working at the heart of the community. We are delighted to be supporting the Papworth Trust and working with them over the coming year.”
