WW1 exhibition at Town Hall

A new First World War centenary exhibition will be taking place at Ipswich Town Hall next month, and will include features of local interest, medals, memorabilia and general information.

The exhibition is being organised by Ipswich Borough Council with the support of the Royal British Legion (RBL) and will run from Tuesday 4th until Saturday 8th November.

RBL branch chairman and Borough Councillor Robin Vickery said, “This is just one of the events the Council is staging to commemorate the centenary of the First World War and to honour those who fought and died in that terrible conflict. As it takes place just ahead of the Remembrance services, we shall also be selling poppies at the Town Hall.”
