New Year, New Recycle

binIf you feel overwhelmed by packaging and wrapping paper, don’t despair and do your bit for recycling.

Ipswich residents are doing a great job in keeping tonnes of waste from landfill and the Borough Council is now urging them to keep up the good work as we head into the New Year and to make 2015 the best year yet!

You can now recycle even more in your blue bin, including aerosol cans, books, waxed cartons, metal pots, pan and trays. That’s on top of paper, cardboard, tins and plastics gathered in over the festive period.

And you can have a final kiss under the mistletoe and add that to the wilting lettuces and uncooked fruit and vegetables – more sprouts anyone? – in your brown bin. Don’t forget: if those dropped needles from your Christmas tree are already driving you round the bend, you can recycle those, too. Just place the tree next to your brown bin.
