Entertaining Angels, written by Richard Everett will be performed by the Masque Players at the Community Hall, Twelve Acre Approach, Kesgrave Ipswich IP5 1JF from Wednesday 25th March to Saturday 28th March inclusive.
Clergy wife Grace has spent a lifetime on her best behaviour but after the death of her husband she is enjoying new found freedom to do and say exactly as she pleases – behaviour not usually expected of a clergyman’s wife! But the arrival of the new vicar and the return of her eccentric missionary sister together with some disturbing revelations, forces Grace to confront the truth of her marriage.
Whilst not a true comedy, there are some sharp-edge comic lines and superb characters showing how relationships are not always what you would expect. This wonderful play is funny, touching and genuinely thought-provoking and raises some great questions about trust, faith and relationships.
Penelope Keith played the part of Grace at the Chichester Festival and both she and the play received excellent reviews.
This is a real feel-good play and one you wouldn’t want to miss!
