Sign up now for knockout challenge

The call has gone out for businesses and groups from across west Suffolk to sign up for a fun-packed charity challenge which is promising to be bigger and better than ever this year.

West Suffolk Hospital Charity is looking for teams to take part in its flagship fundraiser It’s a Bury Knockout, which takes place on Hardwick Heath on Sunday 26 July.

And the teams will this year tackle a series of new and exciting obstacles and games after the charity signed up a new supplier to run the competition.

Dave Gooderham, fundraising manager with the charity, said: “Now in its fourth year, the knockout has fast become a family favourite, raising a staggering £30,000 for the hospital so far.
“We’ve given this year’s event a fresh new look by offering new games and obstacles for our participants to tackle, and are working hard to attract more teams than ever before.

“We’ve also been looking for new games, stalls and demonstrations so that we can make sure there is something on offer for everyone throughout the day. We are confident this will be our best knockout and family fun day yet.”

Businesses and organisations are now being encouraged to sign up in teams of 10 to 12 people, and will need to raise a minimum of £500 sponsorship to take part.

Mr Gooderham added: “It’s a Bury Knockout is great fun and something that most people can do and enjoy.

“Whether you are a business looking for a team-building exercise, or a group of friends keen for a laugh, the knockout is for you.

“Best of all, you’ll be helping your local hospital and will be able to choose exactly where the money you raise is spent.”
