Concert at St John’s

St John the Baptist Church in Ipswich is the venue for an evening of Spring music.  Trianon Music Group’s choir and orchestra perform at the church in Cauldwell Hall Road on Saturday 18th April 2015 at 7.30pm.
Guest conductor Stephen Rumsey makes a welcome return for this concert, which features music composed during the Romantic period in the 19th and early 20th century.
The programme includes Tchaikovsky’s Marche Slav, a selection from Rachmaninov’s vespers, Sibelius’ Symphony No 5 and Verdi’s Four Sacred Pieces.
Listen for the final movement of the Sibelius Symphony, which includes a lovely motif.  It is said that Sibelius was inspired to write this when he saw swans circling in flight overhead.
