Based on the hugely successful British television series which ran for seven seasons, Allo Allo is an uproarious comedy which relates the adventures of a hapless café owner, Rene, in occupied France during WW2.
Rene and his wife, Edith, have stashed a priceless portrait stolen by Major-General von Klinkerhoffen. They have hidden it inside a sausage in their cellar where two British airmen are hiding. Rene is also hiding the painting on behalf of a Gestapo office, Herr Flick, which happens to be a forgery and is also inside a sausage.
Will Edith find out that Rene is having an affair with his waitress Yvette? Will Yvette find out that he is also having an affair with his other waitress, Mimi? Will Lieutenant Gruber stop asking Rene to go for a drive in his tank and can Officer Crabtree’s French get any worse?
Join the Deben Players as they bring to life the wonderful world of Jeremy Lloyd and David Croft.
Allo Allo is at the Seckford Theatre, Woodbridge School from Wednesday 13th May until Saturday 16th May, nightly at 7.30pm.
