Tickets to see pop legend Neville Staple live at The Music Room in Ipswich are now on sale and have been priced at £17.50.
He will be performing as part of the Neville Staple Band which has been formed for over 10 years. This highly anticipated event is set to take place on Friday 3 July, with doors opening at 8pm.
The Jamaican born artist is credited with changing the face of pop music not once but twice during his illustrious career. Neville Staple’s thirty five year involvement in the music business is well documented. From the early days with The Coventry Automatics and The Specials in the late ‘70s and 80’s, to his time with The Special Beat. He has also worked with a variety of acclaimed artists during his solo career.
Following on from the 2009 Specials reunion and his departure from the band in late 2012, he continues to thrill audiences with his own excellent band performing at various musical venues. He also appears in festivals around the globe and is headlining The Avalon Stage at Glastonbury this year.
Neville produced a new album called ‘Ska Crazy’ with his band which was released in May 2014, before setting out on a hugely successful UK tour. The man nicknamed ‘The Original Rude Boy’ will hope to replicate last years tour success, including becoming one of the first performers in the newly established Music Room.
Expect to hear some numbers from his new hit album along with a variety of his own material, some arrangements of his very favourite old school Ska numbers, as well as some classic hits in the mix for good measure. This great array of music is sure to entertain and thrill music lovers so buy your tickets for what is sure to be a memorable night.
