23 Parachute Engineer Regiment Parade

23 Parachute Engineer Regiment will again be parading through Woodbridge town centre to exercise the Freedom of Woodbridge before The Band of the Brigade of the Gurkhas present Musical Entertainment in the evening in Elmhurst Park. The purpose of the day is to celebrate the close links between Woodbridge and 23 Parachute Engineer Regiment, which is based at the town’s Rock Barracks.

MUSICAL-ENTERTAINMENT-BY-THE-BAND-OF-THE-BRIGADE-OF-GURKHAS-22.07.15The march sets off from Burkitt Road at Noon, with the Mayor of Woodbridge Cllr Josh Sayles taking the salute outside the Shire Hall. Troops will then march along New Street, St John’s Street, turn right onto the Thoroughfare, left onto Quay Street and turn right onto Station Road. The Parade will be dismissed in the car park by the Deben Swimming Pool.

In the evening the Regiment will present the Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas who will be providing Musical Entertainment in Elmhurst Park. Gates open at 6.00 p.m. Bring a Picnic and a chair. FREE Event.
