Film fun in the park

Pop-up pictures are coming to Ipswich’s Holywells Park next month for a weekend of film fun for the family.

The action starts with The Goonies on Thursday 20th August, followed by The Lost Boys the next night and finishing with Grease on Saturday 22nd August. All films carry a PG classification.

The sunset films start just after 8.30pm in the park’s Myrtle Meadow. All finish at 10.30pm. Please bring chairs or blankets and keep an eye on the weather forecast.

Tickets can be bought either online at www.ipswichregent.com or in person at the Tourist Information Centre in St Stephen’s Church (next to the Buttermarket Shopping Centre).

Tickets cost £12.50 for an adult. Under-fives free, under 18s £6 – but one can go free if accompanying an adult with a ticket. A booking fee of £1 is included in these prices.

Gates open at 6pm. Entry and exit through the Myrtle Road gates. The way to the “cinema” will be signposted and fully lit on exit for safety.
