The tall ship Stavros S Niarchos will return to the Port of Ipswich for the second time since July.
The 60 metre twin masted brig will berth in Ipswich at Orwell Quay for 24 hours this Sunday.
ABP Port Manager East Anglia Alastair MacFarlane said: “We are delighted to welcome the Stavros S Niarchos back to Ipswich again. It has been a busy summer both for her and the Port of Ipswich in terms of traditional sailing events.”
ABP Short Sea Ports Director Andrew Harston said: “It is great to welcome traditional sailing vessels to the Port of Ipswich. They not only reflect the great heritage of the port but also play a key role in the personal development of young people by encouraging teamwork.”
The vessel is owned by the Tall Ships Youth Trust and was commissioned in Devon’s Appledore Shipyard in 2000.
