Busted announced for Newmarket Nights

Transporting you to the ‘Year 3000’ for a night of fun, frolics and fantastic racing, pop-rock heavyweights BUSTED will be storming the Newmarket Nights stage on 22nd July.

It’s the reunion they said could never happen – even the members themselves have admitted it. But Busted are back and the original trio will be touring this summer for the first time in 12 years. Matt, James and Charlie will be playing all their greatest hits together live – among them the simply huge, unforgettable smashes ‘What I Go To School For’, ‘Crashed The Wedding’, ‘Air Hostess’ and ‘Year 3000.’ Busted are one of the biggest homegrown pop acts of the 21st century with an incredible five million record sales, two 4-times platinum selling albums and four number one singles to their name.
Busted said:
‘We’re really looking forward to putting on an awesome show at Newmarket this summer! Going to the races is such a great day out, we’re stoked to be joining the party and we’ll be playing a full set to close out the day, including the hits. Hopefully we’ll make a bob or two on the horses while we’re at it. See ya there!’

Amy Starkey, Regional Director East of Jockey Club Racecourses, said:
“We are very proud to announce yet another fantastic act for 2016 and we look forward to hosting the original Busted trio, especially with the town celebrating 350 years of making history.”

This year’s award winning 2015 season, which saw Newmarket Nights win the Group Leisure award for ‘Best Event For Groups’ in 2014/15, welcomed acts including Kylie, Spandau Ballet, Tom Jones and Kaiser Chiefs to the Adnams July Course, collectively playing to over 100,000 fans. The season launched with a sell out crowd of 22,000 achieved in a record breaking 40 minutes for the showgirl herself, Kylie.
