Northern Ballet reimagines the much-loved Aesop’s fable Tortoise & the Hare for children and young families to experience and enjoy live dance, music and theatre. As part of an extensive national tour throughout spring 2016, Tortoise & the Hare will be performed at the Jerwood DanceHouse on Wednesday 23 March at 2.00, 4.00 and 6.00pm.
Once upon a time there was a speedy hare who never stopped talking about how fast he could run. Tired of being teased for his slowness, Tortoise challenged him to a race. No one thought he could win, but life is full of surprises!

Tortoise & the Hare is the latest in the company’s award-winning series of Short Ballets for Small People, following on from the sell-out successes of Three Little Pigs, Elves & the Shoemaker and The Ugly Duckling which was later adapted into a BAFTA winning programme for CBeebies.
