A local entrepreneur from Felixstowe has been shortlisted in awards that support local talent, showcasing achievement on an international scale.
Photographer, Zoe Gibbs, has made the shortlist for Entrepreneur of the Year. Zoe’s love of photography began as a young girl when her grandparents gave her a camera for Christmas. What started as an enjoyable hobby continued to grow and develop into a real passion and when the time came for sixth form, Zoe opted to study photography to enhance her natural flair for the skill.
Zoe has actively sought out opportunities to gain as much understanding and insight into the photography industry as possible and completed an apprenticeship at a local photographic studio. Zoe decided to gain a worldwide industry recognised qualification from the Master Photographers Association. Her hard work paid off and aged just 18 she gained a Licentiate (LMPA).
Soon after, Zoe decided it was time to take the plunge and achieve a long held goal of opening her own photography business, and in 2015 Zoe launched her business, www.zoegibbsweddings.co.uk.
Zoe’s mum Maria, who put her forward for the award, commented: “Zoe is a very talented photographer for her age. She has a wonderful presence and confidence about her.”
The shortlist will now be passed to the SuperAchievers judging panel but from 21st March it’s then crucial the local public get behind Zoe, as it’s the first year the public has been given a vote. Pitman Training is now giving those who know the nominees the best, their employers, colleagues, friends and family, the chance to champion their nominee. Full profiles will be found on www.superachievers.pitman-training.com and votes can be cast with a quick click of a button.
