The last folk concert of the current series aboard the historic Sailing Barge Victor, on Ipswich Waterfront, takes place on Friday 27th May.
Starting at 8.30pm the concert will feature Suffolk based duo Silbury Hill. Silbury Hill (Scott Dolling, flute, guitar & vocals – and David Stainer, guitar, mandolin & vocals) have carved a name for themselves across the region in recent years. With 3 cd’s to their credit the duo have played their lively set at events, festivals and clubs across East Anglia and beyond. They have supported national touring bands in the genre – including Oysterband and Faustus, have had their music featured on video, and have played live radio sessions. Their latest cd “Justice of the Rowan” includes a combination of original material plus traditional songs which have become concert favourites
Tickets for the concert aboard Sailing Barge Victor cost £15.00 – which includes a choice of hot suppers – and are available from Ipswich Tourist Information Centre – call 01473 258070, email email@example.com. Victor has a well stocked licensed bar which will be open at 7.00pm. The concert is a static event with Victor moored at her berth beside the Old Custom House.
