Guided walk at Control Tower

A Martlesham Heath Guided Walk will take place on Sunday 19th June starting from Martlesham Heath Control Tower Museum at 3pm.

This walk is led by Community Archaeologist Martin Cuthbert of 8th in the East and will explore the Story of Martlesham Heath Airfield, especially the remnants of when the Americans were there in World War 2. There is more left then you think! leads this 3.5 mile walk.

This three and a half mile, free Walk, organised by 8th in the East and the Martlesham Heath Control Tower Museum, leaves the Control Tower at 3pm. You will have an opportunity to look around the Museum first. Just turn up – no need to book.

The Control Tower is located behind Parkers Place, off Eagle Way, Martlesham Heath, IP5 3UX.

This Free history walk is part of The Eighth in the East Festival Weekend taking place at the University Campus Suffolk Waterfront Building in Ipswich on the 18th and 19th June.
