Famous tall ship visits Ipswich

The tall ship, the Earl of Pembroke, has called into ABP’s Port of Ipswich today (Thursday 18th August), making it the second tall ship within a month to sail into the historic Ipswich Wet Dock.

The ship has featured on the silver screen in a number of big-budget films including both of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland movies, and numerous television shows.

This is the second tall ship to sail into Ipswich with regular visitor, the Stavros S Niarchos calling at the Wet Dock last month.

ABP Short Seas Port Director Andrew Harston said: “Following the recent successful visit of the sail training ship Stavros S Niarchos, the Port of Ipswich is delighted to welcome the Earl of Pembroke.”
