Remembrance Services and Events

A round up of all the Remembrance Services this weekend.

Ipswich Remembrance Sunday Service will take place on 13th November at the War Memorial in Christchurch Park at 10.50am.

The service, which is being organised by the Royal British Legion, will be attended by the Mayor of Ipswich, Councillor Roger Fern, veterans, cadets, civic leaders and the public, including guests from Arras. After the service, the Mayor will take the Salute at the March Past near Christchurch Mansion.

The Mansion will be closed to the public until 1.30pm as it will be used by the veterans and other guests attending the service.


Felixstowe Civic Remembrance Service
St Johns Church, Orwell Road, Felixstowe at 9.45am on Sunday 13th November 2016. All are welcome.

Felixstowe War Memorial around 10.50am prior to the observance of two minutes’ silence at 11am. Wreaths are laid by the civic party who then receive a march past the Town Hall from the uniformed services.


Woodbridge: Royal British Legion Event:
12th November 2016 at 11.00 am there will be a wreath laying ceremony at the graves of the soldiers that we lost in the wars in the Cemetery.

Woodbridge Remembrance Sunday Parade:
Royal British Legion Event: 13th November 2016 Remembrance Sunday the parade will form up at 10.40 am ready to March to the Cenotaph.

Martlesham Heath Remembrance Service
Martlesham Heath Remembrance Service 3 p.m. Sunday 13th November at Barrack Square, (near to the BT Adastral Park Main Entrance). Martlesham Heath, Suffolk IP5 3RF Everyone welcome.
