Ipswich and Martlesham – Burglaries

Officers are appealing for witnesses following two burglaries that happened early this morning in Ipswich and Martlesham.

The first burglary took place at a business premises on Foxhall Road, Ipswich in the vicinity of the junction with Back Hamlet. The alarm was triggered at 1.00am earlier this morning, Thursday 17 November. An offender forced entry to the front of the address and stole a quantity of alcohol.

At 4.50am this morning a business property on The Square in Martlesham was also broken into and a quantity of alcohol was stolen.

Officers are investigating possible links between the two incidents. The suspect is described as a man who was wearing a dark coloured hooded top with a small emblem on the left side of the chest area, with a white stripe down both arms, grey jogging bottoms and white trainers.

Anybody who saw anything suspicious at the time or has any information are asked to call Ipswich CID on 101 quoting reference 66696/16 (Ipswich) or 66701/16 (Martlesham).
