Suffolk Coastal move to new premises

Suffolk Coastal will soon be moving into new office premises at Riduna Park in Melton.
The move from the existing and increasingly ageing offices at Melton Hill in Woodbridge is part of the Council’s aim to protect the tax payer, by downsizing to reduce the Council’s running costs in the future and to give staff more efficient and modern facilities to work in.
Suffolk Coastal staff will be moving over a three consecutive weekends starting on the weekend of 26/27 November and the last move on the weekend of 10/11 December.
Cllr Geoff Holdcroft, Deputy Leader of Suffolk Coastal, said: “We’re excited that the move into our new offices at Riduna Park is now only weeks away.
“Different teams of staff will be moving over three weekends, meaning there will be no disruption to Council services, including Customer Services who will be available as usual over the phone and within District Council Customer Services at Felixstowe and Woodbridge Libraries.
“The new purpose built offices provide a contemporary and comfortable place for our staff to work and allow for improved flexible working for both staff and members.
“We’re pleased that the move importantly helps us, and the tax payer, save an estimated £200,000 a year in running costs, rising to £500,000 a year in the longer term.”
