Extra Park & Ride buses for festive shoppers

Festive shoppers coming into Ipswich can take advantage of extra Park & Ride services.

Park & Ride buses are running during the day on Sundays in the run-up to Christmas and on late night shopping Thursdays. These extra services are made possible by funding from Ipswich Borough Council and Suffolk County Council.

On Thursday nights, the last bus from Tower Ramparts to London Road is at 9.22pm. The last bus from Revolution, next to the Old Cattle Market, to Martlesham is at 9.41pm.

On Sundays, until Christmas, Park & Ride buses will run every 12 minutes, with the first bus from London Road at 9.28am and the last bus back from Tower Ramparts at 7.10pm. The first bus from Martlesham is at 10.12am and the last bus back from Revolution is at 6.17pm.

You can also save a bit of money by looking for Borough Council-run car parks. The Council offers more than 1,000 spaces at seven car parks in or around the town centre at which you can park for just £1 after 3pm during the week. You can also park all day on the Waterfront on Saturdays and Sundays at Athena Hall (off Duke Street) for £2.50.
