Man charged with Felixstowe burglaries

A 48-year-old man has appeared in court charged with three burglaries in Felixstowe.

Anthony Johnson was arrested on Friday afternoon, 31 March, in connection with two business burglaries in the town, one at premises in High Road East between Saturday 11 and Monday 13 March where a quantity of cash and charity collection boxes were stolen and the other at a business in Hamilton Road overnight Monday 20 – Tuesday 21 March where a laptop computer and cash were stolen.

He was taken into custody at Martlesham, interviewed and subsequently charged with both of these offences and with a home burglary at High Road Trimley St Martin on Friday 31 March where an iPad, camera and jewellery items were stolen.

Anthony Johnson, of Windermere Road in Felixstowe, appeared at Ipswich Magistrates Court on Saturday morning, 1 April, where he was remanded in custody pending an appearance at Ipswich Crown Court on May 1.
