This Summer, the award-winning CTC will be performing Seven Brides for Seven Brothers at the New Wolsey Theatre from 5th to 8th July with a cast of talented young performers age 14 to 21 years and a live orchestra!
Bursting with the rambunctious energy of the original MGM film, Seven Brides For Seven Brothers is all the boisterous fun and romance that harkens back to the glory days of the movie musical.
Set in Oregon in 1850, this truly rollicking adventure tells the story of Milly, a young bride whose plan to civilize and marry off her six rowdy brothers-in-law backfires when the brothers, in their enthusiasm, kidnap six women from the neighbouring town to be their brides!
This much-loved musical includes Bless Your Beautiful Hide, Goin’ Courtin’, Wonderful Day, and the show-stopping spectacular, The Barn Dance.
The CTC was established in the summer of 2009 by local performing artiste Bridie Rowe. Based in Ipswich, the CTC is an innovative, vibrant theatre company where children of all ages can experience all aspects of performance.
Over recent years the CTC has gone from strength to strength and their recent production of CATS was awarded NODA’s ‘Best Youth Production’ earning its reputation as one of the finest amateur youth companies in East Anglia.
