The Museum of East Anglian Life, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, announces the 21st annual festival of beer and brewing returning to the museum Thursday 6th – Saturday 8th July 2017.
Excitement is already brewing for Stowmarket’s favourite event, set within the Museum’s stunning 13th Century barn. The fun and friendly atmosphere attracts visitors from all over East Anglia every year, celebrating the areas rich heritage of brewing.
With over 80 ales and ciders, the festival is run in association with CAMRA- the Campaign for Real Ale, with a beer list curated by CAMRA members who’ve picked an expert selection for enjoyment. Featuring a selection of the best locally brewed beers, including those from CAMRA award winning breweries, the ales range in style to suit the tastes of everyone who visits.
With live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from Warts, Vagaband and Spacecake, the beer festival provides a fun night out, with fantastic catering available to help soak up the ale!
“2017 is a year of celebration as we look forward to the next 50 years of the Museum of East Anglian Life” explains Chloe Brett, Marketing Officer “the beer festival is a firm favourite for the local community and beyond, and is celebrating its own anniversary as we reach the 21st festival. We’ve got amazing beer, great live music and a fantastic atmosphere that makes this event a success year after year.”
