Appeal after accosting – Ipswich

Police are appealing for witnesses or information following an accosting incident which took place in Holywells Park around 12.30-12.45pm lunchtime, on Tuesday 3 October.

A two-year-old girl was approached by a man who took her by the hand and started to walk off with her before being challenged by the child’s mother. The girl was safely returned to her parent unharmed.

The offender is described as a white man, in his early to mid thirties with brown curly hair who spoke with spoke with a foreign accent. He was wearing a beanie hat, faded jeans and a dark coloured hoody and was carrying a black rucksack.

Witnesses or anybody who has any information are asked to call Ipswich Police on 101 reference 64781/17.
