The Lions Club of Ipswich are organising a self-guided charity walk around Alton Water on 3rd June 2017. Part of the Suffolk Walking Festival, The Lions Charity Challenge Mutt Strut is a distance of about eight miles, and will be a challenge for both walkers and their dogs.
Alton Water have kindly agreed that The Lions can use their beautiful venue for the day, which is home to a plethora of wildlife.
The Mutt Strut is open to all, however walkers must be physically fit and their dog must be used to walking long distances. This walk is not for the faint hearted, and as it is around the Reservoir, there are no short cuts.
There will be check points along the way to ensure all walkers and their canine friends are safe and well, and goodie bags for all walkers, in what promises to be a great day out in the wonderful Suffolk countryside.
The Lions Charity Challenge Mutt Strut will raise funds for the Lions Club of Ipswich charities. The Lions Club of Ipswich is a not for profit organisation which is run entirely by volunteers. The Club helps fund and support various good causes and charities in the local area, helping out when required in whichever way they can. This could be buying a vital piece of equipment, offering manpower or with help and support when required. By taking part in this Challenge Mutt Strutt you will also be helping the Lions Club of Ipswich continue to do the work that they do in the community. This work really does change lives.
