At the Felixstowe Spa the month of June starts off by taking you right back to the golden era of pop with Lipstick on your Collar on Saturday 9th from 7.30pm.
Next up is A History of Swing on Friday 15th June, a matinee performance from 2.15pm, with a nostalgic musical trip through the heyday of Big Band Swing. Marc Anthony joins the Spa also in June – on the 16th he’s billed as the World’s best Prince tribute – not only sounding like the former pop mega star, but looking remarkably like him too! An appearance by Strictly’s gorgeous finalist Giovanni Pernice will certainly hot things up on Wednesday 20th at 7.30pm with limited tickets available for his brand new tour Born to Win then on Friday 29th June the rather excellent CBM Theatre Company bring Footloose the musical to the Spa’s stage on Thursday 28th June at 7.30, with a matinee performance also on Saturday 30th and a final evening performance that night too giving you three chances to sing along to your favourite numbers from the hit film.
Next month, just to give you a flavour, Fleetingwood Mac set things moving on Saturday 7th July closely followed by the Kast-off Kinks on Friday 13th. The live music doesn’t end there the following night the stage is once again alight with UK Pink Floyd Experience (Saturday 14th). Last year the sensational Navi: King of Pop and his incredible Michael Jackson tribute show saw a packed house and the Spa hope his return on Tuesday 24th will have the same effect. He would definitely be our one to watch for the sizzling month of July.
Finally what would a seafront theatre be without a Seaside Special? The Great British Seaside Special Variety Show which features popular acts Andy Leach and Ian Larkin to name just two, returns on Thursday 2nd August and early booking is advised. As you can see there’s plenty at the Spa this summer to keep you entertained.
The Spa’s regular ‘Dine & Dance’ nights are proving popular too with delicious dishes and live entertainment. Friday 22nd June – Shane’s Rock n’ Roll Show (Shane from ‘Shane & the Korrados’) and Saturday 21st July – Laura Nicole will be entertaining the guests with her vocal talents featuring tunes from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Enjoy a set menu or choose from the regular menu or just pop in for a drink – last entry 10pm. To make a booking call 01394 336336.
Tickets for all shows are available from the Spa Pavilion’s Box Office which is open from 11am until 4pm, 01394 284962. You can also reserve your seats online, 24 hours a day, at www.felixstowespa.co.uk
