M.E.A.L. – a great day out for all!

The Museum of East Anglian Life is located in the heart of Stowmarket, Suffolk and features 75 acres of stunning Suffolk Countryside, historic buildings, animals and lots for families to see and do, it is the largest independent museum in Suffolk.

With a packed programme of Summer Activities, families can take part in drop in sessions in Archery, art workshops and archaeology throughout the Summer Holidays (see website for details).

For younger visitors, Mud, Bugs and Baking sessions are back with activities based around a different Julia Donaldson book each week.

With something to enjoy every day, from talks and tours of the museum site, to visiting the animals, walk the river trail or watch a printing demonstration. Memberships are available if you want to make the most of the museum’s extensive offer.

The museum also has an extensive event programme and this Summer will be hosting an Outdoor Cinema, showing Jumanji (1995) on Friday 17th and The Greatest Showman on Saturday 18th August, with pre-show entertainment for all the family to enjoy.

The museum is open from Tuesday until Saturday 10am to 4.30pm and Sundays from 11am until 4.30pm as well as Mondays in the school holidays and bank holidays.
