Another weekend of summer fun!

The great Ipswich summer continues this weekend with two fabulous FREE events at Ipswich’s Christchurch Park: Global Rhythm and the Indian Mela.

On Saturday (7th July) get ready to travel the globe for a colourful celebration of worldwide music and culture – yes Global Rhythm is back.

Between 1pm and 7pm, enjoy live music, art and food from across the world with live reggae, afrobeat and jazz musicians, 90’s throwbacks, our own Dancehall Contest and music workshops from World music movement Arts La’Olam.

There are also fairground rides, a craft market, children’s activities and more.

On Sunday (8th July), between noon and 6pm, it is the turn of the Indian Mela in association with Ipswich & Suffolk Indian Association (ISIA).

Immerse yourself in this rich and colourful celebration of Asian culture that offers glittering dance and musical performances, sari and turban demonstrations and a vibrant market and Indian food village.

Indulge in delicious cuisine from across the Indian sub-continent. Spend the day exploring and enjoying an exciting expression of Asian culture at this family-friendly festival.
