Suffolk’s very own Sutton Hoo Chicken was given top billing last week in a guide on where to eat in London during Fashion Week.
The Handbook, a hugely popular ‘where to and who’s who’ online guide, listed its top restaurants to enjoy a meal during Fashion Week and named Thomas’ Cafe based in Burberry’s flagship store in Mayfair as a highlight for its cakes, small bites, salads and infamous Sutton Hoo Chicken Salad.
Sutton Hoo Chicken is one of the few farms in the country producing slow-reared and free range chicken and its succulent birds have become a favourite amongst many top chefs.
Thomas’ Cafe in Mayfair is a top haunt for fashionistas seeking a delicious lunch and the Sutton Hoo Chicken Salad has become one of its most talked about dishes.
“We know the Sutton Hoo Chicken Salad is a favourite on Thomas’ menu, but it now seems that word has spread and more and more people are eating there just to sample it, which is fabulous as its a simple dish that allows our chicken to shine,” says Belinda Nash, founder of Sutton Hoo Chicken. “Having a mention in The Handbook is a fantastic pat on the back.”
Sutton Hoo Chicken will be one of the fantastic producers at this weekend’s Aldeburgh Food & Drink Festival and will be offering samples of its succulent chicken whilst also hosting a competition for visitors to win a visit to the farm and a delicious hamper of Sutton Hoo goodies.
