Pam’s House Reunion

Tickets are now on sale for popular club night Pam’s House’s 23rd birthday and Ipswich reunion, which is being dedicated to dance scene giant Dave Banks who died last year.

“Dave was the driving force behind huge dance music events Eclipse, ClubUK Ipswich and Kink at Hollywoods, in Ipswich. He was also responsible for inviting Pam’s House to Hollywoods, first monthly, then weekly,” said organiser Danny Banthorpe.

“It was a huge step bringing so many clubbers from all over East Anglia to Ipswich. This platform gave us amazing chances to take Pam’s House to Norwich, Clacton, Newmarket, Ibiza super clubs Eden and Space and many other places around the world.

“We’ll be forever thankful for that opportunity, advice and inspiration and always remember the great times.”

Pam’s House began life in a Woodbridge Road flat covered in posters of Baywatch star Pamela Anderson. First held at the town’s Attic Club, it’s now the biggest and longest running dance music event in the east of England.

It takes over two rooms at Ipswich Corn Exchange on March 9th.

The Grand Hall hosts the reunion event, featuring guest DJs Danny Rampling, Jeremy Healy and Tony Grimley plus residents Pete Walkden, Macca D and Basil Hayes.

Acid house club Shoom founder Rampling is one of the fathers of the UK’s club and house music scene. DJ Magazine crowned him its first Number One DJ in the World Award.

He’s a three-time DJ Awards recipient and has sold more than one million compilation albums. He also presented BBC Radio 1’s Love Groove Dance Party for eight years, the second longest running dance music show after Pete Tong’s Essential Selection.

Healy, voted Number one DJ by The Face and Mixmag magazines, has worked as producer and did sound effects for Duran Duran’s Arena (An Absurd Notion) video. He’s also remixed work by Boy George, George Michael and Gwen Stefani.

DJ duties include residencies with Miss Moneypenny’s and Clockwork Orange in Ibiza.

The Corn Exchange’s Limelight Room hosts Tonic UK Garage Arena with Ipswich’s favourite UK garage DJs Jay Funked Up Coldron, Mike Midas James, DJ Natch, DJ Mindy and emcee Jesse James.
Tickets are £15 via @PamsHouseUK on Facebook.
