If you are looking for a new job or a change in career – this event is for you!

A Jobs and Careers Fair is taking place on Thursday 10th October at Ipswich Corn Exchange, with up to 50 companies and organisations offering advice and information about current vacancies and training opportunities.

It is all happening between 10am and 2pm and with AXA, Willis, Suffolk Police, HM Prison Service, University of Suffolk, Suffolk New College, Ipswich Borough Council and Suffolk County Council among those signed up there will be hundreds of jobs available on the day.

The fair is being organised by the Borough Council and Jobcentre Plus (Department for Work & Pensions).

Councillor David Ellesmere, Leader of Ipswich Borough Council, said: “Creating jobs, improving skills and providing opportunities for people in Ipswich is one of our key priorities. This event will not only have real jobs and training places on offer but will also provide careers advice for people looking for their first job or wanting to change their career.”

Julia Nix, Jobcentre Plus East Anglia District Manager, said: “Jobcentre Plus is delighted to be working in partnership with Ipswich Borough Council and local employers and partner organisations on this joint event to bring many opportunities to our customers across a wide range of employment sectors.”
