February at Felixstowe Spa

February at the Spa Pavilion gets off to a flying start with a celebration of the music of the Bee Gees Direct from London’s West End. You Win Again – A celebration of the Bee Gees allows you to immerse yourself in the brothers’ music though the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s and includes hits they wrote for the likes of Celine Dion, Diana Ross and Dolly Parton. Sounds like your kind of show? We’ll join them as they grace the Spa stage on Saturday 1st February from 7.30pm.

Next it’s another huge show with, Mercury – The Ultimate Queen Tribute which has been touring for 20 successful years. The band are very well established as one of the world’s most authentic tributes to the legendry Freddie Mercury and Queen. Joseph Lee Jackson has an extraordinary vocal range as Freddie and the guitar work of Glenn Scrimshaw as Brian May is something you won’t want to miss on Sunday 2nd February at 7.30pm.

Next its time for the ever-popular Jive Aces with their Big Beat Review the following weekend – join them on Saturday 8th February from 7.30pm and be whisked away to a hugely popular musical era.

Then it’s time for a completely different tack for the Spa – Catherine Cookson’s The Cinder Path – a sizzling and fast-paced drama featuring Nick Cochrane (Coronation Street’s Andy McDonald) and definitely one to watch out for in February.  It’s a tale of an innocent witness to murder who tries to set old injustices right. Nick and the rest of the cast will be in Felixstowe on Tuesday 11th February at 3pm.

The Bon Jovi Experience is on Saturday 15th February, ranked number 14 in Q Magazine’s top 50 bands of all time! These artistes are the only ones to have performed live on stage with Jon Bon Jovi himself. Lead singer Tony Pearce’s striking resemblance to Bon Jovi is quite something. To complete the weekend its Soultown USA – The Hits of Motown & Soul on Sunday 16th February.

It wouldn’t be a fun, family half term without a show for the children, the Spa invites you to see Jungle Book by Joseph Purdy Productions on Monday 17th with performances at 1pm and 4.30pm. The laugh-a-minute script and songs and dancing for all ages will be sure to give you a swinging time.
Completing the line-up for February is Darren Page as The Voice of Roy Orbison bringing the month to a magnificent close on Saturday 22nd February from 7.30pm.

Looking ahead to March some of the highlights include: Leather & Lace a dynamic new show bringing together classic rock anthems and power ballads. Bootleg Shadows celebrating the music of The Shadows and Sir Cliff Richard, Chicago Blue Brothers’ A Night at the Movies is a new 2-hour all singing, all dancing hit parade.
