90 minutes, 2 bikes, 1 team – who will travel the furthest for RideFest 2020?
Local businesses are being called upon again to see who will be RideFest Champions for 2020.
With a few tweaks to the rules from last year, each company is asked to assemble a team of nine riders to cycle on static bikes for 10 minutes each, with the total km’s travelled placed on a leader-board to ultimately find out who will take home the coveted yellow jersey this year. 2020 will also see the return of the much anticipated CEO heats, to see which boss has the fastest legs in Ipswich.
RideFest launches on 24th February through to 13th March, with the top four companies and CEO’s battling it out at the finals event on 18th March. This year, the Hospice are looking to sign up 55 businesses to the event with each pledging to raise £350 for the hospice.
Jazmin Peach, the corporate fundraiser at the hospice said, “RideFest is back for its forth year and this year we want the competition to be more heated than ever before. Our corporate events contribute so much to what the hospice delivers each year, and RideFest is one of our biggest events for businesses to get involved in.”
This year’s RideFest event sponsor is Beagle Property, Shaun Collins from their Ipswich office said, “We’re delighted to be part of the upcoming RideFest event for the hospice. Being Ipswich born and bred, we feel it’s important to help support our local community and the hospice in particular do such a fantastic job. We speak to people regularly who have used their facilities, so helping to raise awareness and support for them is the least we could do.”
