Suffolk Wedding Show

Could Pinterest and DIY weddings eventually replace the humble
wedding show?
Melissa Neisler Dickinson the Event Manager of The Suffolk Wedding Show gives her point of view,“Since the early days of my very first shows back in 2006, wedding trends have changed considerably. Many couples are now looking for a more rustic and relaxed approach to their wedding day, they browse the web for inspiration and often plan their colours and theme of the day with the likes of Pinterest, YouTube and Facebook.
“Couples also like to add meaningful special touches to their day; this often involves them personally making items or encouraging relatives to lend a hand. This can work well in a lot of cases, saving a substantial amount of money on the services offered by professional wedding suppliers. However, during my time as a wedding planner I have seen this ‘DIY approach’ often leaving the couple feeling deflated and regretting they did not enlist a professional for certain aspects of their day. Therefore, I always believe there will be a place for quality wedding shows if they keep on trend, offer a big sprinkle of inspiration and the attending suppliers offer quality products and services at a reasonable price”

The Next Suffolk Wedding Show at Wherstead Park is on Sunday 23rd of February from 10.30am until 3pm, and, will meet all the criteria of a successful show.
Suffolk Marquees will be displaying their new Rustic Tipi’s and Jamie Lee Smith Catering will be showcasing something very special to tie in with the rustic/retro on trend look. This event will be bigger and more inspirational than ever before, with free entry, parking, bubbly and wedding magazine for every couple, this is one show not to miss.
Melissa Neisler Dickinson looks forward to seeing you there.
