1981 ITFC football pictures wanted

The New Wolsey are looking for photos of the momentous day that Ipswich Town F.C won the UEFA cup. What were you doing on 6th May 1981? Were you there? How did you celebrate? They’d love to receive photos of that day to include in a video montage at the end of Peter Rowe’s new musical Never Lost at Home, which opens on 16th September.

Photos should be sent to: tickets@wolseytheatre.co.uk with your name, the names of the people in it where possible, and the name of the person that took the photo (if it wasn’t you). By sending the photo you give them permission to use it in the show .

Never Lost at Home, the follow up to the sell-out show Our Blue Heaven, tells the story of the 1980/81 season and celebrates the 40th anniversary of the UEFA cup victory that year. Once again the story uses a cast of actor/musicians and includes popular hits from 1981 punctuating the action. Critical moments from the important matches in the season will be recreated by our community chorus of young people and each performance will be simultaneously livestreamed. Filming with the community chorus begins this month. Actor Peter Peverley returns as Bobby Robson and Mark Murphy from BBC Radio Suffolk will be voicing the match commentaries.
