December at The Spa

Felixstowe’s Spa Pavilion Theatre has announced that Christina Johnston has agreed to become it’s first official Patron. One of the best coloratura sopranos in the world, with an amazing and unique voice, Christina has recently returned to her home county, Suffolk, after a long residency at the State Opera in Prague.

Well known throughout the world of opera and classical music through her many performances and collaborations, Christina has a range and voice which lends itself to almost any type of music and The Spa will be introduced her to their audiences over the weekend of 12th and 13th November with very special ‘cameo’ guest appearances.

The Spa are swinging into December with ‘Rat Pack Live: The Christmas Party’, on Thursday 2nd! This show features all the patter and razzamatazz of the original Rat Pack’s famous live stage shows. Next up, Friday 3rd December sees the return of Jim Davidson, with his brand-new touring standup show, ‘Unlocked’, which is 18+ only.

Continuing the run of consecutive show nights, ‘The History of Soul’ will be lighting up the stage on Saturday 4th December. Experience iconic soul music brought back to life by exceptional singers, and a nine-piece band!

Brand new on sale, with two performances (3pm and 6pm), it’s ‘Aladdin: The Genie of the Lamp’ on Sunday 5th December. This is a youth theatre production, performed by students from Theatre Arts Academy, in association with The Suzie Lowe School of Performing Arts. Packed with songs, dance, and slapstick comedy, this show has something for everyone to enjoy!

On Friday 10th December, Country music fans are given a taste of Nashville, with ‘Made in Tennessee’. This is the first of the December ‘Christmas Party Package’ shows which still has availability for restaurant tables for pre-show dining. Act now to secure your pre-show meal by calling 01394 336336.  For either £15 or £19 on top of the Adult ticket price, you can add a 2-or-3-Course Meal, AND admission to the afterparty, with late bar and disco!

The very next day (Sat 11th Dec), Jason Manford comes to Felixstowe! ‘Like Me’ is Jason’s latest comic offering set to hit the road, and is sure to be “expert observational comedy” (The Guardian) mixed with “comic gold” (Mail on Sunday). This evening also has a limited number of Christmas Party Package places still available.

On Sunday 12th December, don’t miss the UK’s premier wartime-inspired group, The D-Day Darlings, with their 3PM matinee show: ‘A Christmas to Remember’!

Finally, The Dennis Lowe Theatre Company present a 12-performance run of their Christmas Panto, ‘Cinderella’ – From Friday 17th December through until Monday 3rd January 2022.
