Latitude rail travel advice

Greater Anglia has issued advice for festival-goers travelling to Latitude by train later this month.

Latitude is taking place from Thursday 25th to Sunday 28th July at Henham Park, Suffolk, and the nearest rail station is Halesworth.

Customers should travel to Halesworth railway station on the East Suffolk line between Ipswich and Lowestoft, where they can catch a shuttle bus to the festival site at Henham Park.

Shuttle buses operated by Latitude Buses will run between Halesworth railway station and Henham Park.

Additional staff will be on hand at Halesworth to help customers with travel and ticket information.

On Thursday 25th, Friday 26th and Monday 29th July, some East Suffolk line services will depart early to allow for extra dwell time at Halesworth. Customers are advised to check before they travel.

James Reeve, Area Customer Service Manager, Greater Anglia said:

“Travelling by train is one of the most sustainable forms of transport and we’re very pleased to help festival-goers attend Latitude again this year.

“All trains will run with the maximum number of carriages available, however we are expecting services to be very busy, particularly on Monday 29th July as people make their way home. Passengers should allow more time for their journeys.

“Our new trains are longer and have more seats, however we would ask everyone to be patient while boarding as we are expecting higher than usual passenger numbers on these services.”

To save time and beat the queues, passengers are advised to buy tickets online or via the Greater Anglia app before they travel and people travelling in groups of three or more can save money with GroupSave.

Customers are advised to use the full length of trains and platforms.
