Pram Push and toddle in Woodbridge

Suffolk Libraries is marking Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week in May by inviting parents and parents-to-be to join in with a sponsored pram push and toddle round in Elmhurst Park in Woodbridge.

The event is a great chance to meet other new parents or those who are expecting. The event aims to raise awareness of Suffolk Libraries additional wellbeing services for parents including the Me, Myself and Baby perinatal service. It’s also a chance to raise some money to support these vital services in the future.

Anyone with a pram, pushchair, toddler or a bump is welcome to join in with the event which starts at the bandstand in the park on Tuesday 3 May at 10am. Suffolk Libraries would appreciate it if walkers could make a donation to Suffolk Libraries or take on the challenge of doing as many laps of the park as they can and asking family and friends to sponsor them.

The Boathouse Kitchen and Bar next to the Tide Mill have kindly given Suffolk Libraries access to their venue from 11.15 and are offering any walkers and pram-pushers complimentary tea or coffee. There will also be some toddler-friendly activities to keep your little ones entertained, including a baby signing taster session courtesy of Baby Senses Ipswich!

If you’re thinking of coming please email julie.long@suffolklibraries.co.uk.

Anyone unable to join the walk due to mobility issues is welcome to come along to the Boathouse from 11.15am.
