Review: Satellites

Satellites is a new one woman play that has recently been touring East Anglia. Written and performed by Natalie Songer, a Norfolk-based theatre maker.

Spurred on by programmes such as Who Do You Think You Are? many of us will have researched our family trees, and every so often there are discoveries about our pasts that come as a complete surprise.

This isn’t just a play, but it really is Natalie’s voyage of discovery about her own family past, a journey that takes her to the deserts of Arizona, to outer space and also to the Nazi death camps.

Superbly written and brilliantly performed it is a story that deserves an audience far wider than East Anglia. Touching and poignant it is well worth seeing and you will come-away moved but also asking questions of your own ancestry.
