Suffolk Book League – March 26

On Thursday 12th March the Suffolk Book League welcome Helen MacDonald and Sin Blaché.

Helen Macdonald is a writer, naturalist, and former historian of science, now based in Suffolk. Their previous award-winning memoir H is for Hawk has been adapted for the screen with Claire Foy and Brendan Gleeson, released in 2025. Helen’s other publications include Vesper Flights and the poetry collection, Shaler’s Fish. California-born Sin Blaché now lives in the North West of Ireland and writes horror and sc-fi. The two worked together at a distance during lockdown to create their fast-paced, genre-defying debut novel, Prophet. It is an unusual thriller, a politically charged queer romance with elements of science fantasy.

The Suffolk Book League are looking forward to welcoming both authors to hear them talk about their fascinating collaboration.

This event will be taking place at the Atrium, University of Suffolk, Ipswich. Tickets  can be obtained via
