Flying Lessons

For most of her life, Pamela has stayed close to home, quietly holding everything together. She’s the one everyone depends on—the reliable presence her family cheerfully takes for granted, certain she’ll always be there when they need her.

But as her 58th birthday approaches, a chain of small events begins to unsettle the comfortable routine. Pamela starts to wonder whether “being needed” is the same as being seen—and whether it might finally be time to look up and claim a bigger sky.

Over three weekends in early summer, we follow her as she edges away from the familiar, wobbles at the rim of the nest, and—between the comedy of habit and the drama of change—carefully begins to spread her wings.

A new comedy-drama about family, freedom, and starting again at 58. Written by Sarah Lowen writer of the NODA award winning play “Crushing Grapes”. At the Seckford Theatre, Woodbridge School from Wednesday 13th to Saturday 16th May 2026. Tickets bookable at: www.debenplayers.net
